Soil Mechanics:
Soil: It is the naturally occuring loose or soft deposit forming part of the earth’s crust, produced as a result of weathering or disintegration or decomposition of rock formations, or decay of vegetation, intermingled together.
Types of soils: There are six main types of soils. They are, gravels, sands, silts, clays, fine-grained organic soils and peat.
